World Leaders Praise Trump’s Iran Strikes: “Gateway to Peace”

International leaders and organizations are offering strong praise for President Donald Trump following the joint U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran. The military campaign, carried out under the name Operation Epic Fury or Roaring Lion, targeted Iranian military facilities, nuclear related infrastructure, and leadership compounds.

Supporters say the action struck at the heart of a regime that has threatened the United States, Israel, and the broader region for decades. Among the most outspoken supporters has been Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who framed the operation not as the start of a prolonged conflict but as a decisive step that could lead to peace.

Netanyahu Says the Operation Is Not an Endless War

Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Netanyahu praised Trump’s leadership and defended the decision to strike Iran.

“It’s not a terrible thing to protect humanity, to protect America, to protect Israel, to protect the free world from this theological thuggery,” Netanyahu said. “These fanatics who don’t care, who just export death, mass death, everywhere.”

Netanyahu also pointed to Iran’s decades long hostility toward the United States and its allies.

“Iran for 47 years has been chanting death to America. They have murdered and maimed thousands of Americans. They bombed your embassies. They tried to assassinate Donald Trump, the President of the United States, twice,” he said.

The Israeli leader made clear that the goal of the operation is not an open ended war.

“This is not an endless war, this is a gateway to peace,” Netanyahu said. “There is great danger and it’s time to act.”

Netanyahu also offered striking praise for Trump’s leadership.

“There’s never been a President like Donald J. Trump. His resoluteness, his decisiveness, his clarity of thinking,” Netanyahu said. “He cuts through all the fluff, cuts through the chase, gets down to the main point, and it gets down to the main action that needs to be taken.”

He added that Trump’s leadership has restored America’s global role.

“We’re very lucky to have him as the leader of the free world,” Netanyahu said.

NATO Chief Says Allies Stand Together

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also praised Trump’s decision and emphasized that Western allies are united behind the operation.

“There is no sliver of light between us,” Rutte said during an interview.

He said leaders across Europe support the strikes because they weakened Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities.

“All for one, one for all,” Rutte said, describing the shared position among NATO partners.

Rutte also said he spoke with several European leaders following the strikes and found strong backing for the action.

“I spoke with all the key European leaders over the weekend,” he said, noting there was “widespread support for what the president is doing.”

Jewish Organizations Express Strong Support

Several Jewish organizations also praised Trump’s actions and expressed gratitude for the operation.

Ron Halber, CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington, said Iran had threatened global stability for decades.

“For more than 40 years, as the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, Iran has undermined the strategic interests of America and its allies in the Middle East and around the world,” Halber said.

The American Jewish Committee also warned that Iran’s policies had pushed the region toward crisis.

“The Iranian regime has, for decades, pursued policies that threaten U.S. interests, endanger Israel and our Arab partners, destabilize the broader Middle East, and undermine global security,” the group said.

The Orthodox Union praised the joint military operation as a decisive step against a dangerous threat.

“In coordination with Prime Minister Netanyahu and the IDF, President Donald Trump and the U.S. Armed Forces took decisive action to silence a modern threat,” the organization said. “God bless President Trump.”

Stephen M. Flatow, president of Religious Zionists of America Mizrachi, said the moment reflected a long history of confronting those who threaten the Jewish people.

“In every generation there are those who rise with the intent to destroy us,” Flatow said. “The names change. The ideology does not.”

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth described the operation as a historic moment for the United States.

He called the strikes a “generational turning point America has waited for since 1979,” urging American forces to remain committed to the administration’s doctrine of peace through strength.

Rising Conflict but Growing Support

The operation comes during a rapidly escalating conflict in the Middle East. After the strikes began on February 28, Iran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones toward U.S. assets and allies across the region, including Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.

Despite the rising tensions, many leaders and organizations continue to argue that the strikes were necessary to confront a long standing threat.

For Netanyahu and others praising the operation, the central point is that decisive action today could prevent a much larger conflict in the future.

“This is not an endless war,” Netanyahu said. “This is a gateway to peace.”
